USA NATIONAL FINAL

CONDITION OF ENTRY

Overview

Article 1

Kismet Srl, the organizer of the globally recognized GEF (Global Education Festival / World Festival

of Creativity in Schools), presents the 16th edition of sanremoJunior, a singing competition promoting

music and cultural exchange among youth in an international, multi-ethnic environment. The

competition provides participants with national and international media exposure.

The Narnia Foundation for the Arts (narniafestival.com), under artist and producer Cristiana Pegoraro

(cristianapegoraro.com), in collaboration with La Scuola d’Italia, will manage the 2025 sanremoJunior

USA selection.

Eligibility

Article 2

One of the primary goals of our cultural and artistic events is to spread messages of peace, love, and

friendship. The competitors could participate in sanremoJunior, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion,

or nationality, and without discrimination.

● Participants must be U.S. nationals aged 6–15.

● Category A: Solo Singers, with three age groups:

○ A1: Ages 6–9 (born 1 Jan 2016 – 31 Dec 2019)

○ A2: Ages 10–12 (born 1 Jan 2013 – 31 Dec 2015)

○ A3: Ages 13–15 (born 1 Jan 2010 – 31 Dec 2012)

● Songs may be in Italian, English, or other languages (translations required for lyrics that are

neither in Italian nor English).

● Songs must not exceed 3:30 (3 minutes and 30 seconds).

○ Only one song will be presented.

○ If a song exceeds the specified duration, the song will be faded out at the established

time limit, both during the rehearsals as well as the performance in front of the Jury.

● Tracks containing vocal elements (e.g., autotune, harmonies, chorus) are prohibited and will

result in disqualification.Registration & Application Process

Only U.S. nationals are eligible for the sanremoJunior USA national final.

Application

Article 4

Step 1: Registration (Deadline: February 10, 2025)

Submit the following to sanremojuniorUSA@gmail.com in order to register for the live national

final in New York:

1. Completed registration form.

2. Copy of participant’s ID.

3. Parent/guardian ID and tax code.

4. Signed GDPR compliance forms.

5. Consent form.

6. MP4 video of the performance. (max. 3:30)

7. Audio file of the backing track. (MP3/WAV, max. 3:30)

8. Song lyrics. (translation required for non-Italian/English songs)

After receiving the application material, we will email you a PayPal link to pay the registration fee of $90.

The registration fee is not refundable for any reason.

Step 2: USA National Final

Date: Saturday, February 15, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM

Venue: La Scuola d’Italia, 12 East 96th Street, New York, NY 10128

Bring: USB with backing track and song lyrics (as well as translations, if

needed). USB will not be returned to participant.

Step 3: Winner Announcement

The U.S. finalist will be announced on February 15, 2025, and will receive all of the information,

details, and materials for the Sanremo World Final within the following days.

Step 4: Sanremo World Final

(accompanied by the sanremoJunior Orchestra)

Date: March 26, 2025

Venue: Ariston Theater, Sanremo, Italy

● Costs:

○ €390 participation fee

○ €350 for orchestral score creation

○ €665 for a 7-night hotel package (half-board, 3-star accommodation)

Accommodation Prices

The Accommodation Prices section outlines the costs and requirements for participants and

accompanying persons during the sanremoJunior International World Finals at the Ariston Theater

in Sanremo, scheduled for 26 March 2025.

Compulsory Hotel Package

Duration: 7 nights (Half Board: bed, breakfast, and dinner).

Cost:

○ €665.00 per person for 7 nights in a 3-star hotel (€95 per night).

○ Single Room Supplement: €30.00 per night per person (subject to availability).

○ Extra Meal (not in the hotel): €25.00 (to be ordered and paid at time of hotel booking).

IMPORTANT: To ensure participation in the sanremoJunior International World Finals, participants

and accompanying persons must adhere to specific accommodation arrangements for organizational

and event management purposes.

Participants, accompanying adults, or anyone staying overnight in Sanremo during the competition

must book accommodations exclusively through the sanremoJunior Organization’s agency.

Booking through this channel is essential to gain accreditation, which is valid only for the booked days

and nights.

Included in the Package

● Accommodation in a 3-star hotel for 7 nights (Half Board).

● Services included in the competition, as per the regulations.

● Free entry to all events within sanremoJunior and the theaters.

● For participants:

Not Included in the Package

Tourist Tax (per person, per night): Must be paid directly at the hotel reception in cash (rate

varies by municipality).

Extra Accommodation

● Additional nights: €95.00 per person, per night (half-board).

● Single Room Supplement: €30.00 per night, subject to availability.Important Reminder

● Booking through the sanremoJunior Organization’s designated agency is mandatory to

gain accreditation and participate in the competition. Accreditation is only valid for the booked

days/nights.

● Details regarding payment methods for the World Final will be provided upon admission to the

competition.

ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS

Article 5:

The sanremoJunior Committee reserves the right to admit additional participants to the World Final. All jury decisions are final and non-appealable.

Article 6:

Participants may compete with one song, which must remain consistent throughout all

competition stages.

Article 7:

Registration fee ($90) for the USA National Final is non-refundable. The payment must be

made via PayPal.

Article 8:

Juries are made up of industry professionals. Their judgment is final and irrevocable, and

they are not required to give explanations for their choices.

Article 9:

As part of the sanremoJunior International World Finals, which is sponsored by the

Municipality of Sanremo, finalists in the World Final may be invited by the sanremoJunior Committee

to participate in performances outside of the competition. These performances could take place:

● In one or more locations, as determined by the Committee.

● At a different time of the year, separate from the main competition dates.

Details regarding these additional performances, including the schedule and format, will be

communicated to finalists at a later date.

Article 10:

The organization provides professional audio/lighting systems but is not liable for delays

caused by postal or other carriers.

Article 11:

Participants must adhere to punctuality, decency, and respectful behavior. Violations may

result in disqualification without refund.

Sanremo World Final

Article 12:

Prize for USA National Grand Prix Winner

○ The winner will receive a $600 refund for travel expenses to Italy for the World Final.

○ The refund is contingent upon providing proof of purchase for a nominative air ticket

to Italy.

Accommodation Requirements:○ Participants and their companions attending the World Final in Sanremo must book

accommodations exclusively through the sanremoJunior Organization.

○ Reservations should align with the official Sanremo Accommodation Prices available

on the event’s website (link to accommodation prices).

○ This requirement is part of organizational and control measures.

Prizes, Awards, and Diplomas

Article 13

USA National Finals

1. Overall Winner:

○ Receives a diploma for admission to the sanremoJunior World Final.

○ Awarded the $600 travel prize for attending the World Final.

2. Winners of Each Section:

○ Receive a sanremoJunior winner diploma.

3. Second and Third Place Winners:

○ Awarded a diploma.

○ Special Mentions by the Jury will also be recognized with diplomas.

4. All Participants:

○ Receive a participation diploma.

World Finals

1. Overall Winner:

○ Awarded the prestigious Grand Prix World.

2. Special Awards:

Trofeo sanremoJunior Mondiale for Peace: Presented to the winner of the special

award by the Comitato sanremoJunior.

Orchestra Award: Assigned by the 32 musicians and the Director of the

sanremoJunior Orchestra.

Student Award: Decided by a Jury of students in attendance.

3. Section Winners:

○ Awarded a Trofeo sanremoJunior.

4. Second and Third Place Winners:

○ Receive a Pergamena sanremoJunior.

○ Those with special mentions from the Jury or Comitato sanremoJunior also receive this

recognition.

5. All World Finalists:

○ Receive a Diploma sanremoJunior.

Additional Prizes:

● The Jury retains the sole and final discretion to award further prizes beyond those listed.

Article 14

Kismet reserves the right to record, broadcast, or use competition materials for promotional purposes

without compensation to participants.

Program Variability

Article 15

Changes to the event's program may occur due to technical or organizational reasons, with timely

communication promised to affected participants.

Ownership of Materials

Article 16

All submitted materials become the property of Kismet, which may use them for promotional purposes

without the need to return them or provide compensation to participants.

Copyright and Liability

Article 17

All event-related printed materials and trademarks are copyright-protected. Unauthorized use or

reproduction is prohibited and subject to legal action.

Article 18

The Organizing Committee, the Promoting Association, and the Company responsible for technical

organization of the sanremoJunior International World Finals disclaim any liability for:

● Accidental harm or damages to persons or property.

● Such incidents occurring either during travel to and from the event or throughout the duration

of the event itself.

Participants and their accompanying persons are encouraged to take necessary precautions and may

wish to secure personal insurance coverage for added protection during their involvement in the

competition.

Data Privacy and Legal Disputes

Article 19

Participation in the event implies knowledge and unconditional acceptance of the rules for the

processing of personal data pursuant to EU regulation no. 679/2016 (GDPR).

Article 20

Any disputes arising from participation will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Sanremo/Imperia
